A note from Lylah...
Listening is a fine art and to do it well takes practice along with a concerted effort to care enough about another person to allow the fruit of the spirit of self-control to override selfish desires of wanting to be the center of life. I believe listening is one of the best gifts you can give another person.
Having said that it's just about the greatest gift, I have by no means mastered this fine art of listening well, but I definitely understand its value and I continually work on practicing its principles.
This little handbook, Coffee Talk, became a unique God-project birthed from my personal journey - growing from a non-listening woman (thinking I was one) who has learned to care enough about another person to actually learn to listen to and hear their heart.
The notes from my journey evolved into this handbook for the woman (or man) who wants to grow in their love for other people by learning how to really listen to them. (Practicing the ABC's - practicing acceptance, believing the best in the other person and coming alongside to get understanding before making a final conclusion or judgment.)
If this is you, this handbook will show you what (Wellspring Listening) is and why it is an important skill to learn and practice. You will learn about the benefits of practicing good listening skills in all your relationships. As you practice what you learn - I know that you'll grow in confidence in your relationships - especially those that are difficult ones.
